Update #3 - Smarter AI, Bugfixes and Juice


Overview

We're back with another update! This time the focus was on making the AI more human-like, and we feel like we've achieved that, its betting logic is much more reasonable and will now take into account your money as well. It will also build it's farm much more strategically. This should create some very interesting and close games!  (Shoutout to Kim for his exceptional hard work on the AI)

We fixed some minor bugs, made some UI improvements, and the game is also now playable in fullscreen on a widescreen monitor! :)

Fixed

  • Fixed a bug that wasn't removing food costs from dead chickens.
  • Fixed the main menu not fading away if you restarted via the pause menu.
  • Fixed a bug where the AI could bid more than they had if the bid amount rounded up to the nearest ten.
  • Fixed the chicken counter and inventory blocking buttons on a widescreen monitor.

  • Added a sound effect to having a chicken die that turn.
  • Added a sound effect on winning and losing.
  • Added a main menu button to the pause menu.

  • Improved AI betting logic.
  • AI will never bid more than the player could bid.
  • Betting UI Improvements.
  • Changed the tombstones dimensions to make them a bit more beefy and easy to see.
  • Dead chickens message at the end of day screen is now red.
  • Dead chickens now have their panel setup with a tombstone texture and blacked out attributes like "coop nearby".
